You mean what time? I guess that would depend on how elaborate the meal was, what your plans were for after you eat, and if he has to go home or gets to stay the night. I guess your best bet is to arrange for him to arrive right after all the hard work is done but before the last finishing touches are preformed.

I would call him at any thime maybe you want to hang out before dinner so call early and make plans before the food
