if worrying is what keeps you awake, meditating or praying can help you quiet your mind, enabling you to fall asleep sooner. or maybe try playing some soft music while trying to fall asleep.

Sweet you are doing better than I am. I run a business that does most of the work at night, but the accounts come in the day time. I get to the office at 6:00 AM go through the nights accounts, and fax the updates to the finance companies, in the mean time I have 30 or 40 people calling me to tell me how they are going to sue me for repossessing their car. OK they can not afford a car payment, yet they can afford a lawyer. Then I have account reps calling me with updated addresses and other crap. By 2:00 I am checking in the day guys accounts and loading the night guys accounts. I get out of here by 5:00 PM and go home, shower, sleep for 2 hours and get back to the office by 8:00 or 9:00. I then take my accounts and run the until they are done, usually by 4:00 go home, sleep 1/1/2 hours maybe 2 and do it all over again. Saturday and Sunday I go into a coma and sleep for 4 or 5 hours each day. My doctor actually gave me 10 mg. Valiums so I can sleep some on the weekends. I do have office help but someone has to answer their questions.

I don't understand how the Xanax could make you worse and make you unable to sleep. It puts me to sleep. Maybe you should go back to your doctor and let him know the problem so that he can get you on something different that will help you manage to sleep better. Good Luck hope it helps.

yes i'm a student and find it hard to sleep. it takes me 2 hours to get to sleep. so when i wake up i'm really tired as i toss and turn most of the night. i need to sleep at least 9 hours a night to make sure i feel fresh and raring to go but for the last 2 months i've just been tired and energyless which is making me depressed as well.

Zanax is a very habit forming drug, alot of time people do not relax enough before they lay down to sleep, maybe you need to take an hour before bed time and relax and clear your mind???

Hi,

I used to have troubles to, but instead of taking hardcore pills i tried herbal ones. These relax you before you sleep instead of knocking you for six. The ones i take consist of valerian root, hops, chamomile, passion flower, cacium and magnesium.

I find they do the job perfect :)
