My future mum in law is going to celebrate birthday tis october. We plan repair her beloved piano as she really love playing it.
I guess, the best n special gift that u can give is something tat she need or desire. She not only will be surprised but also touched that u notice all her needs n wants. Thus, it would show that u appreciate n love her. I think that's the best gift - show ur LOVE ;)
So when u r free, u can start spend time with her n find out indirectly wat she need or want the most at the moment..

Of all the gifts I've ever given my mom, the one she liked the best was the jewelry box I got her. She had never in her life had a nice one, not even as a child.
For your mom, think about the things she's always wanted but never had. Think about what she would never spend the money on for herself. Try a gift finder to search by age, occasion, likes, hobbies, etc...

Mine is 84 and her cleaning person stole all her money, so I gave her money, and she said her cordless phone broke, so I also bought her a phone. Just listen to her and give her something she needs or wants, not something to sit around, and clutter. good luck. Judy

Hmm I would suggest taking her away somewhere, even if just for a weekend. Book a cheap weekend break somewhere - even in the uk. If traveling by train go first class to treat her. :)
