Soleil Noir please think before you speak. There are a multitude of competing theories. Perhaps you mean that your arguments are the best and thus only the theories you back are correct. That shows something worse than ignorance. It shows your own pride. Pride is exactly the thing that has blinded you from Truth. You would rather be your own ruler than be ruled by the Almighty God. So you distort science as a means to your own end. Please stop your close minded tirades.

As for the question. No, I don't think I waste my breath on competing theories, because every once in a while I'll get some form of evidence that someone really resonated with what was said.

That depends on what you consider a waste. If something I say can help one person have a better life or get through life easier, I don't make putting forth the energy to explain my beliefs.

No it's good practice, and I am touring the country speaking to Christian Ministers about the errors of their thinking. They are getting the message finally. One man can change the view of the world, if he has a better grip on reality. Galileo was vindicated eventually.
I appreciate every ones help, especially the Christians who challenge me to get better at what I do. I am, and its working.
One day you might hear me speak to your church too.

No. I generally just pick the strongest theory and argue that one.

There AREN'T "competing theories".

There's ONE theory (by the scientific definition: a hypothesis supported by observation and borne out by scientific experimentation).

And there's one unsubstantiated, baseless claim; with nothing more than an antiquated collection of contradictory stories of uncertain authorship to "support" it.

arguments never solved anything except cause hard feelings among those involved. discussions are entirely different as they stimulate one to think rather than just accept.
