No it is not a must. During highschool many people try out new looks to see what works and what does not. In 10 years many of your classmates will look at old photos of this time and laugh. Believe me, biker shorts and neon colored shoelaces were in back when I was younger and now it just looks crazy.

Jeesh this is what the american standard has come to due to "Sex Sells" I would not want my daughter walking around looking like someone on the side of the street. Be careful how you present yourself. you do not have to dress trashy to get attention.
