yes and almond butter....they sell it at organic food stores or you can make it with a Vita-mixer or a powerful blender...if you want to make some to try you can put about 1/4 cup of cashews in a heavy plastic bad and roll over them with a rolling pin until mushy or you could use a tenderizing mallet (I remember doing this as a kid, a bit messy but yummy).

Yup and it's yummy!

Cashew butter

2 cups cashews
2 tablespoons butter

With metal blade in food processor, place cashews in bowl of processor.
Process, turning on and off rapidly, until cashews are finely ground. Add butter and salt; process until smooth. Taste and add salt, if desired.

In fact you can use it to make cashew butter cookies (in the same vein as peanut butter cookies)

2 cups margarine
2 cups packed brown sugar
2 cups white sugar
2 cups smooth cashew butter
3 large eggs
2 2/3 teaspoons vanilla
4 2/3 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/3 teaspoons baking soda
1 cup sugar, for rolling in

In a large bowl beat together the margarine, brown sugar and 2 cups sugar until creamy.
Add cashew butter, eggs and vanilla beating until well blended.
Beat in flour, salt and baking soda.
Do not over beat.
Shape dough into walnut-sized balls.
Roll balls in remaining sugar.
Place 2 1/2-inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 8 minutes. The outsides should be set, the centers still soft.

I've never had it, but it sounds great! You could probably just put some in a food processor and blend away (you might need a little oil or something in case it's too sticky).
I know at some grocery stores they will make "nut" butters for you out of whatever nut you choose...

I have heard of it and was considering having a go at making some, I looked at the back of a peanut butter jar and saw that it is just roasted nuts, vegetable oil and salt, so I was going to experiment with that and see what happens!
