Yes, one of my cats fetches her toys. She'll come and drop them at your feet, you toss them for her and she comes trotting back with them in her mouth and drops them at your feet again and waits for you to pet her and tell her what a good girl she is!

My cats are my friends. We have conversations, and I never find them annoying. Your cat is just displaying her playful personality. It's actually quite a unique play tactic in that most cats don't like things that stick.
One of my cats loves milk (it doesn't like her, it makes her stinky!!) and she knows when it's around. When the lid on the coffee comes off, she knows the cream will be coming out and I trip over her at the coffee pot on most mornings. Crinkle pack inside the cereal box,..........she's there meowing. The other one loves scrambled eggs, and she comes out when the wire whisk hits the bowl, waiting for the eggs to be cooked.
They learn, like any other creature, to associate things like this.
Now what's a mystery to me is why they all come running and meowing when I open a can of something with the can opener. They are 11 years old and have never been given canned food.

Our cat is a talker. He meows at everything, and it gets loud too especially at 3 in the morning. When the kids go to school he prances around looking for them. I swear he thinks he is communicating with us. I have never seen a cat that talks as much as him. It's funny but can get very annoying at times. On nice days the kids like to walk to school so our cat will follow us like a dog.

My sister's cat will do that with rubber bands. Also, when she wants to play, the cat will run up to you with a string or shoelace in her mouth and drop it on your lap.
One time she did it with the tie on a sleeping bag, and dragged the whole thing out!
She also runs around like a wild thing with a puffed up tail and does ninja flips off the furniture for no apparent reason.

All cats have their very own personality. Your cat is playful, and shows she/he trusts you. My cat talks to me and I have come to learn that different tones of meowing mean different things. She also gets back at me if I ever leave her alone for a couple of hours, by dragging out all my underwear - she opens the drawers and when I come home I find a trail of clothing from the door to the spot she is lying. I am now installing locks at my drawers!

Smart cat, see if you can train her to do some thing else.
My Manx cat (tailless cat) will bring a ball back to my husband, if he kicks it away for her, she drops it at his feet. (only time they really interact) The tart wont do it for me ;-( and she my cat.
She also flushes the toilet too. She growls at visitors, especially if it is some one we don't know or we are not particularly fond of. Bails up dogs twice her size, funny thing is the dogs back down.
I swear I have a dog some times.

I've seen cats do that. It's rare, but yes, cats can be trained to do all kinds of neat things. I have one that stomps on the roof when she wants in, then when you open the door, she jumps down on your shoulder so you can carry her in. She also likes to sleep under the covers with you. I think it is neat your cat has such a cool personality.

Lucy C. Tabby is, compared to some of the shall we say, more colorful cat characters on Yahoo, a bit of a stiff. She eats, sleeps purrs, watches birds, and scratches her post. she is a very low maintenance cat.

my moms cat plays soccer, no seriously, with those little plastic balls with bells in them- she will hit it back and forth for a while until she gets bored with it.
My cats dont do much beside sleep on my coffee table and eat as much as possible, oh and beat up my dog.
