They use parts of scripture to suit their purpose and if anything from the Bible goes against what the want they said that the church have authority to change it for example the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday which is not Biblical and to add to the Bible by saying that they can forgive sins.

Almost all churches worship Paul. they forget that the Bible states the Jesus Christ himself is the true Word of God and NOT the Bible. Just read Revelation 19:13. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
And when Jesus states in John 14:6 that he is 'the way, the truth and the life, and no man cometh unto the father but by him' (paraphrased - of course), they forget that the only true truth is in Jesus Christ and not in the Bible.
Women are used many times in Jesus' ministry. Look at Mary his mother, Mary Magdalene, Salome, his sister, the woman who annoints his feet with oil and her hair. All of these women were important to Jesus. I agree with Just Me who states the there is no reason for a woman to want to be treated as a man. They are used just as well as a woman.
Amazing.

It doesn't. Women in the Catholic Church do everything men do except become priests, and that is by the choice of Jesus Himself, who expressed His divine will and intent by selecting 12 men to be the first 12 priests of His Church. If He had wanted priestesses in His Church surely He would have selected at least one woman from among the many holy women of the time.
However, women in the Catholic Church, unlike many Protestant churches, preach, teach, administrate, counsel, preside at assemblies, and generally function as leaders in many different capacities.

What would (or did) Jesus do?
The Catechism of the Catholic Church states:
The Lord Jesus chose men to form the college of the twelve apostles, and the apostles did the same when they chose collaborators to succeed them in their ministry.
The Church recognizes herself to be bound by this choice made by the Lord himself. For this reason the ordination of women is not possible.
This practice is based on the actions of Jesus not the words of Paul.
Except for ordination as stated above, the Catholic Church teaches complete sexual equality:
Every form of social or cultural discrimination in fundamental personal rights on the grounds of sex, race, color, social conditions, language, or religion must be curbed and eradicated as incompatible with God's design.
With love in Christ.

Paul was used of God to write 2/3 of the New Testament. I would expect that he was hearing from God when he wrote about the roles of leadership in The Church. It is not just our Catholic brethren, but also Evangelical Christians who believe God's WORD.

We do look at the whole of the bible, but you must remember that for a long time, it was a man's world. Those parts just appealed to the current times more.

Why should I as a woman asked to be treated as a man? I am content to be what my Lord has made me and I am in no way inferior.
