a quick change in diet always messes up animals. Weather it was just once or an abrupt change alltogeather. it happens with my cats too. But i can't help but feed them when they beg. Thing is just not too much. little steps.

dogs are not meant to have a large amount of dairy products. Especially smaller dogs, the smaller the dog the less of something they can handle. MOre than likely it will just make your dog throw up a couple times and probably have diarhea for the next 24 hours. If it was a small piece of cheese dont be too concerned but if it was more than the size of say a slice then you may need to see a vet. Oh and tell you ever gave your dog cheese that they are an idiot!

My dog likes to eat my kittens food all the time but as far as table food goes no. You should not feed your dog tables food because it may upset the digestive system. If you do decide to feed your dog table food check what they can safely have. Cheese is actually okay for pets as long as it has not came from someones plate. It may have gotten salt on it somehow and that could be what made your dog sick. I hope your dog is okay.

Some dogs get sick from cheese, especially if they are not use to having it. If your dog doesn't get better within 24 hours you should take him to the vet so he doesn't dehydrate.
I would give my dogs left overs, including some cheese once a while. I loved spoiling them!
But it was just small amounts and not very often!
Good Luck and Take Care

Dogs can be intolerant of certain foods just like humans! Don't let the dog have cheese anymore! Honestly, it's best for a dog to eat only "dog" food. But as a pet owner, it's hard not to give them a special treat now and then. I try to stick to a good hard bone, since it helps clean their teeth. Remember, no chicken bones or any type of bone that may splinter!

Yes, feeding your dog anything other than what they are use to can make them very sick. Dog's have very sensitive digestive tracts and it is never a good idea to change their food around.
If you dog is having diarrhea, you can give him half an Imodium now. If the diarrhea hasn't cleared up in a few hours, you can give him another half. If he's vomiting though, the Imodium won't help as he won't be able to keep it down.

Oh yes!!! Steak fat, bacon grease, cheese, sometimes leftovers. Not too often and when I feed the bacon grease I always mix it with regular dog food (again, not very often). Your dog may have an issue with Lactose intolerance. If you are constantly feeding the dog something other than his/her usual diet you can expect some digesitve issues.

Yes raw food.
Dogs are lactose intolerant, therefore they don't do well with cheese. Yogurt seems to be fine with them but cheese and milk will often have a negative reaction.

Cheese shouldn't make a dog sick - not unless he was fed a great deal of it. My dogs get cheese quite regularly, along with vegetables, meat, rice, yogurt. If he's sick, he needs to see his vet.

1st of all, the cheese shouldnt have made your dog sick, it may make him constipated for a while, but other than that it shouldnt have hurt him..I do alot of entertaining (playing cards) and we are always popping popcorn. my dog sits by the microwave and waits for that popcorn to come out cause she knows she is gonna get some. plus I have an air popper for popcorn and when I use that, she catches the popped corn that flies outta the popper..it is so funny. my dog also loves fresh vegs. and fruits. hope your dog gets better soon or you should contact your vet.
