For starters, I'd be a bit concerned if the girl I had been seeing on a casual basis began to say that she "fancied" anything? Of course it's only a choice of words I suppose. Given the situation, I'd be perfectly fine if the girl I was dating told me she liked me. Even if she was drunk and out with her friends. (let's hope not with any other mates?) Again, just the choice of words I imagine! They say there is truth in wine! :)

I say go for it. Its a 50/50 chance that he will say that he wants her. If he says that he doesn't then she can blame it on the alcohol and the club scene. If she gets rejected then its the guys lost because she sounds like a really beautiful and sweet person. This will be an experience that she can grow from if he says no. But if he says yes then she can purse him if he doesn't have a girlfriend. It may sound like a bad idea but you are her friend and you can be there to console her if it doesn't happen. But I hope it works out for her if she does it.

No no no no its not a good idea!!! I did that once years ago whilst pissed off my head drunk and it made me look like such a desperado!! If he likes her enough it'll happen - dont encourage her to do this!
Myself and my girlfriends have this kinda rule now - where if we're going on an unmerciful bender - which thankfully only happens about 2 to 3 times a year - mobile phones are left at home - just so no one gets any daft drunken ideas!!

When you expect to have some kind of response from the guy, then it's better to put the love message in terms of actions.

Perhaps she can say, "You handosme hunk of a man, would I ever feel good to have your arms around me! How about a hot date next Friday night?"

With this kind of a message, she would say to him that she likes him a lot. She would ask him if he likes her too. She would make it very easy for him to express his affection for her, if that's how he feels about her. And she wouldn't feel too bad about it, if he rejects her and makes some excuse about why he cannot go out with her.

When there is a possibility of rejection, then it's best for the girl to put her request for love in a way that allows the guy to say 'no' to her in a tactful and diplomatic way. If his answer happens to be 'no', then he can say it without feeling uncomfortable and without hurting the girl's feelings.

A direct expression of love leaves no easy way out for the guy and creates a potentially embarrassing situation for both the girl and the guy.

What's she got to lose? go ahead, what's the worst that can happen? He'll either say yes or no. If no, forget about him and move on. There are plenty more where he came from. Sometimes you young folks give me a good laugh with how much weight you give these things in your lives. You'll get through this believe me.

If she fears rejection anyway she should take the risk and text. All men love to be flattered however unsuitable the admirer.
