I said I loved him after I really assessed the situation. Things were going well and then all of a sudden he quit returning my emails. Any constructive advice is welcomed.

The first few months when a guy chase u or u chase him is a risky time to commit n say 'I love u'. Well, it still depends but that's the general rule.
I been in 3 previous relationships, which currently the 4th one is the most enduring love of all. Wat i know is, never believe 100% wat a guy say or do when they r trying to tackle ur love. They will do anything from sweet talks n lavish with wonderful gifts n tasks.
Take time to get to know first, wat does he really wan? Long term or side kick love or worse, one night love....
Ask urself too, wat do u wan? Is it the same? Until then, both of u should NOT commit in love till BOTH r sure...
U can try improve the relationship. Trust me, if he still dun appreciate u, there r better guys out there who will respect n love u unconditionally.

You should really try actually speaking to him - email are good for quick fix communication or passing on information, but the only way you're going to find out what's going on is by talking to him, not writing.

leave him alone and forget he even exists...the same thing is happening to me with this one guy...they dont even bother returning emails, phone calls or anything because they dont care and dont feel the same way no matter how hard u try to convince them u love them...now if he was really into u he would do anything to stay in touch

Honestly? He sounds like a commitment phobe. Is already to say it first but then when he thinks you feel the same he runs a mile.
