I asked what if I had convert to his faith, would things have turned out differently, would we still be together?

Sometimes there are so many 'what ifs' that we ask ourselves... What I can say is there's no use pondering it cos the paths been taken and there's no turning back.... If things are working out fine thats good, but if not, just hope that there's always a blessing in disguise... Plenty of times in my life, I had asked myself that qns especially when regret/hurt/pain started seeping in... But there are also times when I realised that its for my own good... :)

We can only plan but fate decides for us.... And I believe its also for our own good which we will not realise now but probably at the later part of the journey of our life.....

The "what if" question can be very destructive to you because you use all your energy into what if instead of focusing on the "right now". What if moment came and went. There are going to be millions of what if moments headed to you right now. Focus and learn from the past to help you shape the future what you want it to be.

my dear the most important thing in life is the present moment which we can grap it physically. the past we no longer possess and the future is like a blank cheque which we may never live to cash in. so make the best use of today to do something u want. best wishes.

Yeah, what if I never got married, had kids, finished college, moved out of this area, whatever, I have asked myself this, but, then, I think about it for a second and move on.

My biggest "what if" has to do with my marriage. "what if" we didn't get married, would we still be together (things went downhill as soon as we got married, but were great the five years prior)? "What if" I didn't cheat (yes I admit it and it was only one time)? I know it's pointless and I know we would've split up anyway for whatever reasons, but sometimes you wonder. Regardless, I wasn't happy.

I ask myself, what if I had never gone to war, would I be a different person.

I totally gave up the what if game because most the time-it just makes me regret things I cant change.

Avoid asking "what if?"frequently. There is no end to what if. This has no rational basis. It is mere conjecture. It spoils your peace of mind and causes needless grief. Try avoid asking what if.
