It is understandable. I do not think people should come up to you and forbid you to be worried if your bf is on a dangerous job. At the same time, understand that he is risking his life to help others and be pround of him. This dosn't mean you cant't worry about him!

Sweetie don't be upset... Be proud.... But please note that at this day and age we are at war and it's likely he could be sent over sea's... The Army would be happy to have another brave man on there team.. But it's not his job that we have to worry about, because they train him for his job.. Its the job of there other half (wife,g/f,b/f etc.) that's the biggest challenge.. You have to learn how to be a supporter, a long distant friend, motivation the person that sticks by his side while he serves his duty.. I won't lie being a military spouse or girlfriend is hard work it a challenge all in it's own.. So you need to ask yourself, Am I going to stand by my man.. The Army needs you as well.. There support system.. Are you up for the job...
I wish you luck..
Please support all our troops...
Half my heart is in Iraq.............

Be proud, when my first boyfriend broke the news that he was going into the army I was really upset. But then realize that he's doing something for his country and making a life for himself. From then on I was very proud of him. I held my head up high and said that's right my man's in the army. It doesn't get nay better than that. Have faith be strong he'll be fine. God bless.

Well, the worst that can happen is that he will be shipped out and become target practice for angry Iraqis. The chances of this happening are excellent. Make sure he has a life insurance policy, and that you are the beneficiary.

Hope this helps.

Yes, you can be worried and upset about it. But love the man because he is doing what he feels is right and good. As a former military policeman, I know my wife was worried about me, but she prayed for me and cared for me and wrote to me and loved me and now I can tell her I love her every morning because I am there with her now. But I did what I felt was necessary for a country I love and am proud of. I know my family is proud of me as well.

Better than being a combat fighter! Anything can happen, but that is true anywhere.
There are 1.4 million people in the military, and about every job you can think of!

You should be proud that he is serving his country. He could be shipped out, he could stay. You could get married to him, and go with him.

You should be proud that he's choosing a military career. You should support his decision to defend his country and stop being so selfish.

Atleast he is planning his future for the both of you. The one thing that is good about the military is that they really take care of your family if you and him are planning on starting one.
