Depends on what you mean by better for you. If you mean aerobic workout and weight loss, butterfly is the best. This is the most exerting stroke and you will notice that it is not possible to swim indefinitely unsung butterfly. Breast-stroke is a nice relaxing stroke but because of the unusual leg kick occasionally you can get a condition called 'breast-strokers knee'. This generally only happens if you are swimming for prolonged periods. Best is front crawl which can be swam quickly or at a more moderate pace. This can be used for general fitness (short sprints) or to increase your stamina over longer distances.

It all depends on what your ability is. If your ability to swim is good and you can do front crawl then that would be the best one as your body is capable of sustaining that hart rate and breathing pattern for longer. Which in turn increases your cardio vascular ability and stamina. Breast stroke is also good and is very good for toning the muscles in your inner and outer thighs, and also your bum. I would recommend maybe doing a mixture of the two, say for example.

2 lengths breast stroke:
All depends on what your goals are though.

Hope this helps.

the bets one for all round fitness, toning and weight loss is the hardest, which is butterfly stroke as all the muscels have to be used for the stroke to work properly, if you find this stroke too hard then the next best thing would be breast stroke.
