While we were in a relationship,he once asked whether he could have my precious KGB lighter. He was like "cant u give ur bf a lighter". I did as i loved him. It was 60 bucks.should i ask him to give the lighter and the vodka flask back to me? They're really quite expensive. Btw,he was an asshole.

Yes ask him for it, just say LOOK you said "can't you give your boyfriend and lighter" and then say "YOU aren't my boyfriend, so give it back" if he doesn't get some mates to smack him

Don't bother about the lighter. Quit smoking - you'll soon save the 60 bucks. But do get the vodka flask back. Make sure he fills it first.

If the items u hve given 2 him is of some sentimental value...then by all means get it back from him....y let him benefit from them...as u said...he's an assh**e....its signal tat u wan a 'clean' break from him...

However, if getting the items back means tat u hve 2b constantly reminded of tat 'assh**e' then i say forget abt it...move on....

B strong...n dun give in....

Its ur call....

Cheers...

BTW: wats a KGB lighter?? sounds interesting, any where i can view it online??

Often when we are feeling close to someone, a boyfriend, best friend, family member, we give then things and afterwords say to ourselves "why did I do that", we all do it. If you want to be a person who has a reputation for being honest, and of solid character then you have to think before you act, and after you do something, stick to it. If you give something to someone then it is no longer yours. You could tell him, "I gave these things to you thinking we were going to stay together, and since we didn't would you be willing to give my things back to me" (remember they now belong to him). If you get them back, you will be luck, but at least you didn't act like an -ss---- yourself. Lesson learned Don't give away something you really want to keep for yourself.

unless you want to stay in touch with the asshole i think you should just charge it all to the game. although the items were expensive i'm sure you can replace them but if you start communicating with him again it will probably open a door for him to start annoying you again. just let it and him go.

I had a boyfriend who always asked for stuff back..I believe if you give them something it belongs to them.

no matter how bitter you are at him, you siezed to be the owner of the stuff the moment you gave them out, so you have no right on that.
