First of all, Moon, I LOVE pizza! :) I could very definitely eat nothing but delicious pizza every day for the rest of my life and be quite contented. It is by far my favourite food; indeed, it is manna from heaven! :)

Now, as to the specifics of your question(s)... My favourite pizza from a national chain is very definitely Papa John's. "Better ingredients. Better pizza." That's their slogan and it's true. I even love the little extras like the wonderful garlic dipping sauce (I use it for the crust) and the pepperoncinis (I squeeze them over the crust) tossed into every box. Whether take-out or delivery, this is the best national pizza franchise in America.

My favourite local pizzerias depend on location. Back in the Buffalo area, I like Jacobi's best. In Annapolis, I actually choose Papa John's over the local restaurants. When in Chicago, I really love Lou Malnati's Pizzeria and I'm told Gino's East is also a good bet (I'll be looking into that shortly). ;)

As for store-bought pizza, there are several good ones (DiGiorno's, Red Baron, Tombstone) but Freschetta is very definitely the best of the best. The crust is unlike any frozen pizza I've ever had and I must eat two of these per week. Yummy! :)

Thank you for asking such a lovely question about my very favourite food of all, Moon! Now I'm hungry... for pizza! :)

Just pizza, without the ambience, it would be Round Table. They're expensive, but they don't skimp on the toppings like most pizza chain restaurants do.

My all around favorite though would have to be Papa Murphy's, a take home and bake-it-yourself chain. Their pizzas are as good as they get.. and at half the price!

P.S.
Am I correct in saying that you are overseas somewhere... possibly Europe?

Just wondering :)

Chicken Parm Pizza is my choice.
I make my own, never really order out and never EVER buy from a store. When my son was younger we did though, and he always like the Red Baron Pizza.

None of them. They don't really make pizza any more. They've covered it up with so much cheese that it is no longer pizza. Cheese used to be a topping for pizza. Now it IS the pizza. They can't find enough places to put it. Originally, pizza was the pizza crust, with pizza sauce on top of it. If you wanted toppings you could order it with cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms, peppers, sausage etc but they just sprinkled these on - you know? like you sprinkle salt or pepper on something you eat? you don't literally COVER it with salt or pepper, why cheese???
