Why would a person conciously go out of their way and ignorantly condemn a whole group of people, of whom they know nothing about, for the supremely irrelevant and inconsequencial aspect of their sexual orientation and the sex acts they perform in the privacy and comfort of their private space with fellow consenting adults?

A person actively and CONCIOUSLY go out of their way to be DELIBERATELY IGNORANT.

Being MOTIVATED to believe something is totally different from the way in which you carry out the METHOD of informing, or NOT informing oneself..

To the few people who said "I don't have a float and announce I'm celibate 'til I get married"

"They don't have Hetersexual Day at Disneyland"

Straight people exist in the MAJORITY. The acceptibility of your love has been institutionalised as being the ONLY standard in order to be 'normal'. You guys don't HAVE TO have a STRAIGHT MARDI GRAS. You don't NEED ONE!!!!

I don't get on a soapbox and profess what I do in bed. My sex life, my choice to keep it quiet is not a GAY issue - it is an Ashley issue!

Fear and ignorance are huge motivators. Most religion is based on the two.

Because we have children. When your 7 year old asks you why, what, etc. I don't want to tell my 7 year old what "sex" is let alone describe what 2 men do. If it's private, why do you tell us your gay? I don't go around saying I'm celibate until marriage. I don't jump on a float dressed as a different gender and tell everyone I'm celebate till marriage. It's private....then why is the main part of your identity your "private" sex life? What do I tell my children when they ask me why that guy was dressed like a woman and is that person a boy or a girl? uhhh I don't know, should we ask them? then they can tell us about their private sex life.

I don't do that,I know the Lord loves all mankind but will not tolerate the sin..but we as Christains it is our job to show them love and not hate..I was yet a sinner and the Lord still loved me.Y ou can't look to man for answers to questions that only the Lord can answer for you..ask the Lord yourself how much he loves them,he will tell you if you listen..Remember Jesus did not come to this world to condemn but to save the lost. Someone else does the condemning and I think you know who that is..

Jesus is a gay himself. He loved to hang around with men. I'm sorry that's not my answer.
The rules are all man made. Starting from the bible and Quran writer. it will continue to to days pope's and mullas.
Gays are natural . Its total nature. But marriage is little problem to the society, specially for children. Children in this century knows about a mother and father. So Gay marriage make it different. I'm trying to find a solution. I'll get back to you a.s.a.p.
i'll ask mr. G.Bush.

I dunno, but it's kinda weird. They claim they don't like it, BUT!! They sit around all day and THINK about it? Sounds like some people have some serious issues of their own. I couldn't care less what 2 adults do in the privacy of their home. And what confuses me the most is, what do they think they are going to do about it? Run around at night and peek into people's bedrooms to see if they are having sex they way "they" think it should be done? The Bedroom Police? When are these people going to get their own lives?

IF, gays would live their lives and not try to push me to accept them I would have no problem with whatever they do, Although I would still condemn that behavior. But when they want to come into our schools and teach homosexuality as if it is normal, that is where the line is drawn. Gays do not just want to be accepted they want our churches to change, they want us to accept them into our lives as if they are doing nothing wrong. They are pushing at every point of our government to change and that is not going to happen, I do not think. What they or anyone does in their private lives is up to them, BUT don't tell me that I have to allow them to teach our children. Don't tell me that they can be married. There are already plenty of safe-guards in our system for them. The whole point of your question is about their private lives, so keep it private and there won't be a problem. And homosexuals are not a minority, as they wish to portrait themselves, they are a group of people who choose to be different then most of us. And my thoughts about them are not only based on religion but rather common sense, just what is natural? What they do is not natural, so do not teach that to our children!

So... obviously you have no clue what you are talking about.

A person can not be both consciously condemning and ignorantly condemning something. Something can not be both irrelevant and inconsequential.

Please try to understand the words before you use them, otherwise you simply sound ignorant.

For the record, most people offer an opinion about homosexuality. I don't know anybody who is in the position to actually condemn anyone.

My opinion, homosexuality is wrong. Physiologically it's wrong. Spiritually it's wrong and it's just plain nasty. But that's my opinion.

Added: The word "consciously" implies forethought. "Ignorance" is the deliberate dismissal of knowledge... they can't be applied together. Try again.....

You mean like YOU just did? Where you been homeboy?
Haven't you seen all the controversy going on between
"religious" people as far as whether gays can be ministers,
not just have their own church, or have the right to get married?

For the same reason that we are concerned about promiscuous heterosexuals, drug abusers, alcoholics, liars, thieves, gossips, etc. The Bible says that the unrighteous will not enter Heaven.

If you want to go to the other place, that's your problem. But the Bible also states that we have a duty to warn.

So now I'm done with my duty. Have a good day!

Cause dissing other people gives them a sense of self worth and makes them feel better about themselves.
