The situation in Iraq and Afghanistan will go on forever without end. Nothing US troops can do will ever stop it. The US involvement there will last as indefinitely unless we are willing to in there and start a wholesale slaughter of all the so called "religious" sects that are responsible for these attacks. That would mean killing millions. Kill off enough of them and there will be no one left to carry out these bombings, kidnappings and shootings. The answer is kill, kill kill, and the US is not about to ever do that. All of Iraq must be turned into one big killing ground. Every male between the ages of 8 and 50 must be eliminated. This will be a start. Then eliminate the women. Mission accomplished, and end to major combat finally.

As a USMC vetran of a foriegn war, I am thankfull the daily death toll is not higher than it is.All members of the service know that a death in combat is possable. I have run the gauntlet through the ville a time or two myself and I know how our troops in the middle east feel.
The President said at the start that there would be no quick victory. This war started back in the late 70's.What you are seeing now is an approach that no other nation or administration has had the moral courage to take.
Would I go back again? Yes.When my nephew finishes his training he will be deployed. He knew that going in.
You may be willing to swallow the defeatist garbage pumped out daily by the far left but I will have no part of it.My eyes are open and I was taught to think for myself.

Look they are at war. When they join the military they know the risk that comes with protecting this great country we live in. All through our history as a country we have had to prove that we are tough enough to stand up to any one who tries to harm this nation. So am i shocked that another soldier died, NO i am not THIS IS WAR. THAT IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THERE IS A WAR.

its a war!!! its not a field trip, unfortunately troops are gonna die. we have ONLY lost 2,709. do you realize that the US lost 1,400 troops on the FIRST day of WWII, 1,400 and over 300,000 over the course of the war (which you probably also didnt realize its pretty much the same war, a dictator with complete control torturing and killing his people just because he wanted to) Do you think we didnt belong in that war either.

Are you shocked that there aren't more dead civilians in the United States? Every towel head in the mid-east that hates America (because we stand in the way of Islam's grand scheme) runs off to kill the Americans who kill back. Our troops know what they're doing, even if you don't.

the war has gone on long enough. this war has as everything else has become about making money. but as long as we are there. there will be sacrifices. there is no draft. these men and women decided to on their own fight for freedom. they took a stand on their own to join the service and show some back bone which this country knows nothing about anymore.
