Poll: Iraqis back attacks on U.S. troops By BARRY SCHWEID, AP Diplomatic Writer
Wed Sep 27, 10:33 PM

WASHINGTON - About six in 10 Iraqis say they approve of attacks on U.S.-led forces, and slightly more than that want their government to ask U.S. troops to leave within a year, according to a poll in that country.

The Iraqis also have negative views of President Bush and Osama bin Laden, according to the early September poll of 1,150.

The poll, done for University of Maryland's Program on International Policy Attitudes, found:

_Almost four in five Iraqis say the U.S. military force in Iraq provokes more violence than it prevents.

_About 61 percent approved of the attacks — up from 47 percent in January. A solid majority of Shiite and Sunni Arabs approved of the attacks, according to the poll. The increase came mostly among Shiite Iraqis.

_An overwhelmingly negative opinion of Bush says the Iraqi people.

I dislike the reason we went to war for but I think we need to stay there until we know that the country can protect it's self.... And like a few others stated before me no one knows how any people were asked to do this survey and we don't even know if it is 100% legitimate... The Question most people should be asking on this website is: Why do most Americans not show support for their own Country? I love this Country and the Troops that fight everyday to Protect us... I don't completely agree with the War but I will support the Troops no matter what.... And I swear on all that is Sacred in this world that I will injure the next person I see standing outside of a military base who is holding a sign patronizing the troops... I had to watch a woman and her 2 children cry their hearts out when she tried getting on a local Army Base... Her Husband was just killed overseas and these stupid people were out holding rude signs and yelling at all the vehicles... She broke down in tears it was the worst thing I've ever seen in my life.... Just because the Troops are fighting in this war does NOT mean that they think we should be doing this... They are only doing what they are told regardless of what their beliefs are... So please get over your Anti-War self and respect our Troops and Our Country....

Yet another bogus addition to an article by the habitual liar named erudite.....

"_An overwhelmingly negative opinion of Bush says the Iraqi people." NEVER appears in the article.....

And as stated before... you can find a poll to support almost any stance from any side of the spectrum..... polls do not inherently equal truth

What approximately Iraq? One conflict at a time. it is from McCain's website: "John McCain believes it is strategically and morally needed for the united states to assist the government of Iraq to grow to be able to governing itself and safeguarding its human beings. He strongly disagrees with people who recommend chickening out American troops previously that has occurred." On Iran, McCain's website says: "the united states additionally must bolster its community military posture to make sparkling to Iran our determination to guard our forces and deter Iranian intervention." McCain is a conflict hero and he believes that use of the army is the only answer. He would not comprehend that in the time of 2008 it is money quite than military ought to that determines capability. we are dropping our component in the two factors and it's time to regroup previously we've not have been given any military or money.

Even before reading such an article, the Americans have disaaproved, since it has brought them a lot of worries, hatred and doom.
Does the poll reflect something? Yes it reflects the US army has not done for which it invaded Iraq. To end an evil, plant another, it cannot fetch you respect. The US motive to have access to oil is accomplished so it is finding ways to come out of it. The US knows the Vietnam fiasco.

Never have, never will.

“Regimes planted by bayonets do not take root.” - Ronald Reagan

No one wants change forced upon them at gunpoint. Whether the change is "good" or not is immaterial. The British tried it in America over 230 years ago and look at what happened then...

you dont even know how many people were asked those questions. of course no one will agree on one thing or person being right, damn freedom. the only reason people think this war is bad is because it has lasted for far far far far too long. we should of just bought or destroyed that country instead (it would have been cheaper).
