Heres a couple of things i tried:

Get out in the fresh air, short walks if you can manage it, you could maybe even sit outside once you're getting fresh air. And sip on cold water

You may think WTF, but try a smoothie, they're meant to work wonders

Fryup is good but if you're too sick its not really a runner. If you can keep it down, you're fine, if you can't, once you get sick you'll be fine

Make yourself sick. Stick your fingers into the back of your mouth till you vomit. Disgusting i know, but you'll imeediately feel fine and all you then have to cure is the headache and the money you spent!

Good spin on a speedboat was a favourite of mine but only when weather is good but not everyone can do this though.

Make yourself sick before sleeping. You'll be twisted drunk so what does it matter. I can guarantee you that as long as you didn't drink acid, this method is most effective. Not suitable in all cases though.

Very handy one is to line your stomach with food before drinking. I find a slice or 2 of toast and or a glass of milk is excellent.

Before you go to bed or before closing time in the bar, drink 2 pints of water, it will actually amaze you with its effectiveness.

Heres an old one - don't mix your drinks. Don' t rush them either. Only drink what you want and are able for. Too many times i've tried to look cool and drink what the others are drinkin, you'll regret it!!

Sleeping it off is another great one but if you've to go to work, this is usually out of the question.

Happy drinking!!

First of all you can stop a hangover from occurring. If you know you have had a lot to drink, eat a pickle before you go to bed. For some reason this really works. If it is the next morning, eat something with bread, take two ibruprofen with lots of water. I find the general rule of thumb is your hangover symptoms will not completely subside until 12 hours after you finished your last drink.

Well, learn your lesson about how much is enjoyable and how much is too much ... there's a variety of hangover cures that work for different people, but the one that used to work for me was tomato juice with an incredible quantity of Worcester Sauce added (about 50/50). Makes you feel that the top of your head is coming off but after that you see the world a little more clearly.

Cut up some ginger and add it to 2 cups of boiling water. Cook for 10 minutes or so, and drink the liquid. It does not taste good but it helps.
