He may just be trying to find out your reaction to see if you like him. Or he could just be a flirty guy. I'd observe how he is with other girls, as if he is just a flirty guy it could be embarrasing to come on to him!

Next time he says he is going to go out to pull birds, say "why bother, just pull this one stood right here" (obviously meaning yourself), give him a wink, a smile and slowly walk away.

Has it ever occurred to you that he's trying to make you jealous? Talk to him about it. Ask him why he flirts with you one minute and says these things the next. Good luck!
