After 10 years, my Maine Coon has finally gotten a few armpit knots going on and he's too old and cranky to let me take the time to get them out, so off to Dr. Bill we go today.

Sad to see our pets age, you know, he'll get me though for this...

He may be completely relieved to have his armpits free of knotted hair - I know I would be! Just kidding. I do believe that most cats unhappiness with trips to the vet can be resolved with a lot of extra TLC and perhaps a nicely cooked chicken breast or scrambled egg if his diet allows. Bribery and sucking up seems to work wonders with cats....

I think you will be forgiven for the grooming thing. Tell him how handsome he looks when the shaving is done, give him a special treat and lots of love and all will be forgiven and forgotten.

i had a long haired domestic and she use to get shaved (groomed) from the vet once a year so i didn't have to turn on the air conditioning so soon and she never got mad at me, she loved her hair cut... chances are by the time he wakes up then hell never remember going
