Try to be your real self at all times. I was a Hotel Manager and saw men like you everyday. Shouting and trying to bully people to make yourselves look big is not the answer. I have on many occasions thrown people like you out of my hotels and enjoyed every minute of it, i cant stand arrogance. I'm sure you are a nice man underneath, but if we only see your outer body then , be prepared to be disliked.

First of all can you honestly say being nice never pays off? Secondly your girlfriend probably has a problem but if she doesn't lets get down to why your a push over. What makes you a push over? Stop those actions. You could be a total a hole at work (no offense I'm just saying) and you could feel bad and come home and be super nice. I don't know dude.

It's different with business..no emotions involved..always difficult when there are feelings....you are aware of what's going on..take a step back and see how you can tweak things so you don't feel such a push over...

You know, what goes around comes around. Being nice does pay off somehow. It's just that you never know when or how. Just be patient but of course, you musn't let the line be crossed, you know what I'm saying? It takes time for your girl to be aware that she should be a little softer on you.

That is so true. Being nice doesn't get you anywhere. It really pisses me off, I'm always nice to people and some people are just so rude and I think why he hell was I so nice to you anyway???
You're probably a big softy around your girlfriend cos you love her. Anyway, do you really want to be 'as hard as nails' with her?

becasue you care about her and she is probably taking everything you say and do for granted..tell her how you feel...maybe she isn't the one for you ?? stop being so nice..i know it isn't a win win situation..i am in the same boat and once i stiopped being so nice i started being call the b****...just stand up for yourself, do not let someone walk all over you otherwise you will loss your self respect and any respect tat other person has for you will go out the window.

I understand, I too am a push over. I find joy in giving. Unfortunately, people can take us for granted, and just demand more. I have finally found someone that truly values what I do, and finds it amazing. I find that so gratifying. He in turn amazes me with his giving nature. There are people out there that value our worth, go find her.

You're a sub. It's just the way you are. If you're comfortable with it, why mess up a good thing. If you're not, quit being sucha doormat. Treat her like a business deal gone bad
