tablet is a sugary sweet kind of like the inside of a macarroon bar but a darker colour. Maybe its just a scottish thing !

Tablet is just any toffee recipe. When it is at the stage when a drop sets in cold water, take it off the heat and keep stirring with a wooden spoon. After a few minutes it should start to grain. In other words it stops being translucent and goes opaque. At this point it is almost setting in the pan. Transfer to suitable dish.
Use a basic toffee recipe.

Homemade Mint Chocolate Chips
- Place 2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) Nestlé Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels in a medium, heavy-duty plastic bag or container.
- Add 1/4 teaspoon pure peppermint extract; seal bag or cover container. Shake to coat.
- Store for 24 hours to allow sufficient time for morsels to absorb the mint extract.
Don’t have 24 hours to spare? Here is what we recommend. The results are almost as good as waiting 24 hours.

I understand what you mean by Tablet is it Swiss milk tablet, at the moment I have not got the recipe but will answer tomorrow my sister has it.

Not sure what a tablet is in regards of cooking other than salt and that is not after dinner treat.
Simple recipe no effort M@S have fab desserts.
