anyone have any good lassi recipes?
just a traditional, delicious, authentic lassi. they're so good.

2 cups fresh curds
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp or more rose syrup
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup water
10-12 crushed ice-cubes

Put all ingredients in a blender and blend till smooth and frothy.
Serve in tall glasses, chilled.
Vary the flavor by substituting rose for khus, kewra or pineapple.

You can substitute rose syrup with fresh rose flower petals, of course the red one .

Ingredients
1/2 cup plain Yoghurt
1 1/4 cups cold Water
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp finely crumbled Mint

Mixing Instruction
Blend in a blender for 3 seconds. Serve cold.Lassi is a south indian drink, and one of the easiest things to make. There are many ways of making it, but essentially it is buttermilk (yoghurt whisked with water), and you can choose almost any consistency that you like, from the thinnest to the thickest.

Yield: 2-3 servings

INGREDIENTS PREP AMOUNT
Yogurt 1 1/2 cups
Cream (opt.) 3 T
Rose water (opt.) 1 T
Fruit of your choice chopped 1/2 to 1 cup
Sugar 5-6 T
Ice cubes 9-10 each

METHOD
Basic Steps: Puree
Put first set of ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
One by one, add the ice cubes and blend further until they are broken down into a slush.

Serve in a tall, cold glass on a hot day.

VARIATIONS
Good fruit choices are mangoes, papayas, strawberries, melons, lemons. You can use anything you like really.

Add a pinch of ground cardamom or some chopped mint if you like.

Plain Lassi: Eliminate the sugar, fruit & rose water. Substitute a pinch of salt and some cumin seeds.

Bhang Lassi: traditional lassi with cannabis extract used in religious festivals.

NOTES
Lassi is a cooling beverage that comes originally from the southern part of India. The traditional lassi is unsweetened and has salt and some spices mixed in. More recently sweetened fruit lassis have become very popular.

Here you go one recipe for Lassi. I hope that you like it.
1/2 cup ice cubes
1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1 1/2 cups diced mangoes
2 tablespoons honey
1 1/2 cups plain yogurt
1 1/4 teaspoons rose water
Blend all ingredients (BESIDES THE YOGURT) on high speed for 30 seconds.
Toss in the yogurt and process for 45 seconds or until frothy.
Chill and serve.

take some curd add salt if u want it ,or if u want it sweet add sugar blend the curd nicely until it becomes liquid,if u want top it with cherries icecream of any flavour.and ur lassi is ready!

what is a lassi , havn't heard of that one, or are you talking about a lassi from Glasgow.Scotland, i'm one.
