how can the cristian heaven be a place where we can be happy all the time? part of being a human is our intelligence, with that intelligence comes a wide array of emotions. if are happy all the time, would that make us less human?

First of all you are right about humans, but if there is a "special place set aside for the good souls of earth" called heaven,,,when you die you are nolonger human- you are spirit, and totally free of an inhumane thoughts,,,,being an athiest i disagree with any question or prophecy dealing in spirituality,

Part of being a christian is also seeing all the good in everything. Say if someone IS in heaven and their child dies. They would see that as the child being without the pain of the world and being home with their Father (God). Heaven is what a christian lives for. That's the only reason Jesus died on the cross, so we could be happy in heaven for eternity. That's our reward.

Ask God when you are standing in front of him on Judgment day. I can't wait to get to heaven. No more tears, pain, stress, work, death, darkness. The greatest thing about Heaven is that Jesus will be there. Your not going to stand in front of God and say, "Well God I have a degree in this and I am really smart." God is going to be looking for one thing had you in your life before accepted his son Jesus Christ and repented of your sins. We will have a new glorified body that no longer knows sin.

i'm a christian...i do believe that Jesus is my Saviour..and in answer to your question...heaven is a place (described in the Bible) where we are in the presence of God 24/7...in fact there is no time...its endless...we will be out of sin...away from sin completley temptations...gone....fear...gone...sadness...gone everything will have passed away...even death itself will be gone...so its not being stupid happy its we have a reason to be happy we will be in the presence of our creator who sent his Son to die so that we can be with Him...i'm not trying to sound preachy or all witnessy...i'm saying what i believe and i can' t wait for it!....i mean its sad for those who don't believe but we're all given a choice to believe or not.. and its not just that we're happy in heaven its life restored to the way it used to be before sin... :-) i don't know if you are a christian or not but i can tell you this God sent his Son to die so that we could be with Him and anyone that would die for me even in my sin and disbelif i would have to get closer to Him to see what He is really about :-)

IMHO - God created us in His image - not the physical image but the image of his soul.
When in Heaven, it would be our souls living the"happiness", not our phyical bodies.
