This happens with 8X DVD+r as well. Any ideas how to fix or what the problem is?

I tried a DVD-R and got the same result.

This used to work on my old Sony Vaio.

This is a new Dell Dimension 9150. I updated the driver for the DVD drive. I got updates for the software. I tried 6 different DVDs from the DVD-R 16x pack. I adjusted the burn speed down to 8X even. Nothing works. I am about to just remove the app and reinstall.

Before I do that, any help would be appreciated!

bever is incorrect.

First, try another dvd. Maybe the one you have is bad. If that doesn't work, call Memorex. They're very likely to give you new dvd's in the event that you got a bad batch.

Are you sure your drive supports burning +R media?
