There is a little girl 3 years old who was mis dx with chicken poxs the blisters turned to the size of a pencil eraser with in a day. This was 2 days ago. She is right now being treated for this disease tonight at a hospital in Tulsa Oklahoma. I just got another call that she is now being put on life support. Does this disease work this fast , and what are the chances that it runs in the family?

Toxic epidermal necrolysis is one, Pemphigous bullosa is another. THey are both rare and cause blistering, sloughing f the skin.
Added: Without having examined the child I really don't know what she has, nor would I even begin to guess. What do her doctors say it is?
Stevens Johnson syndrome is an immune complex mediated hypersynsitivity to a drug, or caused by viral illnesses or malignancies. In this case it sounds like it was brought on by the varicella virus or chicken pox.
It is rare and can be fatal in up tp 15% of those affected.
