Some people believe that the real reason for U.S. intervention is to uncover the secrets of ET technology created by a race fo ET's who lived in Iraq thosands of years ago. But the area that we call Iraq was the cradle of civilisation, Babylon.
The Anunnaki are well known in history and the Enki/Enlil story is very well documented. Many of these stories have been incorporated into most of the middle eastern religious texts.
Keep your mind wide open and some truth will come in from somewhere.

The motivation was not to be judged -just the outcome. Jury is still out there. ET technology was kind of s h i t though so maybe not worth invasion.
