Guys, think about this when you answer it.
Sanders is a LEFT HANDED guy with almost as much - if not as much - power as Mike. Of Sanders' 30 KOs, 24 have come in 2 rounds or less
Not many guys hit that hard - ask Mike.

Well I read your comment about your previous question, answering my answer. I say you have the most educated response in a boxing forum.

Maybe I was wrong when I said Sanders is Lucky, and you are right, Corrie Sanders have a very strong Left Hand that can stop anybody with a weaker chin Like Wladimir Klitschko.

But take In mind Sanders Strong Weapon is only the Left hand while the prime Tyson can Punch and can knock anybody out with Both Fists.

Tyson has the perfect combination of hand speed and exceptionally great defense standing in front of you while boobing and Weaving. While Sanders sometimes tend to stand in front of you and slow in defending himself.

Tyson's Peak A boo style will be too much for Sanders to handle.

Tyson KO 1 Sander's

Let me chime in here..

You guys got the WRONG Corey Sanders...He's fighting Corey NOT Corrie.

Mike Tyson is NOT fighting the heavy-handed Corrie Sanders from South Africa, who stopped Wladimir Klitschko and recently fought Vitali Klitschko. Tyson fights a longtime sparring partner Corey Sanders in a 4-round exhibition on October 20th on PPV.

The 300-lb COREY Sanders is a little more than your average journeyman that Tyson should have been matched with instead of Danny Williams and Kevin McBride. For some odd reason, Tyson's promoters and handlers keep matching him with freakin' GIANTS. Sanders is 6'6 and could pose more trouble for Tyson like 6'6 Kevin McBride did in June of last year.

Now the background on Sanders...

He is 1-4 over his last 5-fights with his one win coming via a 8th round knockout over current WBC heavyweight champ Oleg Maskaev in 2002 before Maskaev was the champ. Pretty darn impressive for a journeyman and maybe that why Bernard Hopkins has plans of fighting Maskaev. I digress...Sanders, of Washington, D.C, has a career record of 23-10 with 15 KO's.

EDIT: OOOPS...I didn't mean to rain on the 40,765th hypothetical Mike Tyson match-up...

tyson 20 years ago. i remember when i was 10,11 years old Tyso was devastating. the fight was over when he stepped in the ring. today he's a thug and washed up has been. i think corrie sanders is overrated though and the heavyweight division is watered down with no true heavyweight champion. sanders win because tyson gets disqulaified for biting, hitting below the belt or kneeing or whatever else thats not sanctioned in boxing.

Southpaws are definitely awkward, and "The Sniper" could definitely bomb. I don't know Brad I still don't see Tyson losing this one. Even though Sanders would have the height and reach advantage. I'll say this though, my off the wall answer would be Tyson by decision.

Like it was told to Charlie Tuna, "Sorry, Charlie". Corrie Sanders will last about as long as the listed executions:
Williams
Berbic
Tubbs
Bruno
Tillman
Biggs

Brad ~
This one would be a hard one for Tyson to win. Corrie throws his left hand kind of awkward to begin with and even a young Tyson would have trouble figuring out how to fight the much taller Sanders (6'4 230 in his prime).
Corrie lost early in his career against Nate Tubbs, hardly a household name but his other losses are to Hasim Rahman and Vitali Klitschko losing all of his fights by knockout, although I think he just came in heavy and underestimated Vitali thinking that he would be just as easy as his younger brother was when they fought. Normally Sanders comes into every fight in shape and ready to go.
Mike Tyson in his prime was riding the gravy train building his record with selfadmitted limited opposition. Jimmy Jacobs and Bill Clayton were responsible for marketing Mike and did a great job, sending videos of Mike knocking out these guys in spectacular fashion to every network with a VCR. Tyson hit hard yes, but he was hardly the heaviest puncher in the Heavyweight division it was just made to look that way.
Tyson's biggest adavantage would be his head movement, the way he use to slip punches was indeed a thing of beauty coming from hours and hours of working the Mazie ball with Kevin Rooney. In my opinion the reaason that Cus and Kevin did this was to try and hide Tysons suspect chin. Mike scared everyone he fought coming up until he fought Mitch "Blood" Green and James "Buster" Douglas and we all remember what James did to him.
The fight would probably take place in Vegas at the MGM Grand every celebrity would crawl out their hole to come see this one. Mike would try to get into Corries head early on but Corrie would have no problem with it. Mike would come out of his corner throwing bombs and Corrie would shift all of his weight to his rear foot (Left leg) and make Tyson miss, Tyson would connect with murderous body punches slowing down Corrie a tab bit in the later rounds. Corrie ties up his opponents very effectively and Tyson being the much shorter man would be much easier to tie up than most of the bigger guys that Corrie has faced. Tyson would try his famous combo of, left hook to the body shoot the left uppercut right back up the middle but he would have little if no success in this due to the fact that Corrie uses his height well and almost never leans forward. Tyson would begin to get tired in round 8 and the Corrie would begin landing that werid left hand he throws at will, hurting Tyson . Tyson didn't really know how to clinch early in his career thus subjecting himself to more thunderous punches from Sanders. Corrie would stop Tyson in the 11th round.
Before anyone starts to rip me for picking Tyson to lose by Kayo in this fight understand that I was huge fan of Mike Tyson the fighter and if you read any of my Yahoo Answers where I mention Tyson it's always positive. I'm just offering my opinion here, you can agree with it or you can dismiss it as garbage that's completely up to you. Even though I like Mike 100 times more than I do Sanders, I try to offer an honest opinion.
Thanks Brad.
