Who believes this is child exploitation and should be considered criminal? Who condones this and if so, why? Please explain!! I attended every variation of the Protestant church for 25 years and this is only one reason why I am a "recovered Christian." I feel nauseous after watching it. My opinion is that it seems Christianity resembles Islam more and more, as desperation builds. The religion has lost its beauty and is only representative of growing addictive behavior, as well as the need for mind and money control.

I have to respond to "Opinionate": For that matter, children who are being sexually abused are also "not unhappy." Children can be courted into doing what adults want without obvious opposition. If we agree they can't consent to voting, sex, drugs, finances, etc., why do we assume they "consent" to religion??

I have noticed this also. Fundamental Christians are on the rise and they call it revival. I have noticed also alot of similarities with methods used in Islam. Its like brainwashing is much more acceptable nowa days. its almost like some new fantastic method of brainwashing has been recently discovered. I know in the past brainwashing was more cultural, but now they can get converts so easily without going through the upbringing as stage as much.
Its moderates that allow this atmosphere to prosper. The bible is in favor of fundamental beliefs. Moderates want to hold on to their scriptures but ignore the other parts. This type of behavior is logically conclusive given the doctrines in the bible. The Inquisition was not a perversion of christian doctrine, it is an expression of it.

This makes me want to puke! I'm ashamed to say I live in a society that would promote this! I have never been so outraged about something Christians have done but this is immoral. Look at these children. When did they stop being people and become robots? Christian soldiers, isn't that an oxymoron? Are we really teaching our children to throw away their lives for Jesus? Jesus died a long time ago. They are teaching their children to harm people who don't believe in jesus in a country that has the freedom of belief. I'm disgusted. I have nothing against christians in general, I don't mind that the word god is on the dollar or that I have to swear on a bible if I'm a witness in court. I don't mind any of the religion in our government. Why can't we teach them about the religion and let them choose instead of brainwashing them which is what that looks like. This horrifies me. What is the world coming to?

1. Be very careful of any media report - these days, they are easily faked, and this happens these days at the highest levels - even at Reuters and New York Times.
2. What crime is being committed? I think you will have trouble coming up with a crime.
3. We are free to worship however we like in the country - (at least until the courts and legislature decides that part of the Bill of Rights is no longer valid.) We live in a land where we are free to follow any kind of a gospel we want, and there are many gospels out there. Many gospels today promise health, wealth, and/or political freedom. There are many quacks who claim to be Christian, but are dishonest money-hungry shysters, who subject themselves to no one, and sad to say, they have many misguided people giving them money.
4. I hope you have trusted Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior - I urge you to do so if have not. (if you have not, your church affiliation is immaterial). For proper growth and to serve the Lord, one should attend a Bible-teaching church, where Jesus is honored as Lord.

I haven't seen the video - just answering based on the web page you referenced.

If you're a "recovered Christian" what's wrong with this supposed "stepping it up", if that is in fact what's happening?

"I want to see young people who are as committed to the cause of Jesus Christ as the young people are to the cause of Islam," she said.

Sounds like they're trying to further the cause of Christ to me.
That makes you nauseous? Hmmmmm........

We're certainly bombarded, daily, with leftist vomit. Perhaps hearing from the other side might prove beneficial.

Christianity resembling Islam. I haven't heard of any radical Christians blowing themselves up this week. No mass graves discovered. No beheadings. No places of worship burned to the ground. I haven't heard of anyone losing their freaking mind when someone talks trash about Jesus Christ or His followers. Where are the similarities?

I know you are supposed to answer the question asked but....I wonder how many of the people who answered this actually went and looked at this link? I think that what these parents are doing is awful. They aren't giving their children the opportunity to decide for themselves what they want for their lives and they are teaching them intolerance and bigotry. I understand that people think the Christian way of life is best, but this is going too far. You can teach your child to be a good person and follow christ without warping them into thinking everyone that isn't a christian is evil. The one little boy said that he wouldn't read a book because it didn't bring him closer to god....that's what they said in the Dark Ages when it was practically illegal to own a book that wasn't the Bible. Is that really what you people want us to go back to?
Parents who use their children to further political and religious agendas should have them taken away and given to people who will actually love and care for those children for themselves, not for their own personal gratification.

no longer something, only go away it on my own. it really is unhappy to assert that some Christians get a inflated ego at the same time as they study the Bible. sure she is a baby of God that section is unquestionably excellent in spite of the indisputable fact that the Bible also says, " enable no longer one guy esteem himself more beneficial than yet another." which skill none persons are any extra ideal than anybody else. I say go away it on my own. in some unspecified time sooner or later she will be able to fulfill someone in man or woman who will placed her in her position.

SCARY. This is akin to satanism. How unfortunate.

They are I'm sure doing SOME good, but they are also doing some great harm.
This is not the church of Christ. This is not HIS church.

Unfortunately for mankind, most ALL of you see those that "profess" to be HIS, as HIS. To THEIR misfortune they are not, and to YOUR misfortune, they are not (because it blind you from seeing the true church).

Also, what is interesting, is the fact that so many here sound off as if they find this to be the most disgusting thing they have EVER seen. But, yet, the practice of satanism, witchcraft, etc. they welcome. These same people can't see this as judging others. But, they are quick to accuse anothers of judjing when it's convenient.

MAN IS THOUROUGHLY CONFUSED.

Thank God for the true church of Christ.

Peace

It sad that you disrespect what other people believe because you practice religion differently. This is not to be compared to Islam nor any kind of exploitation. Look for the positivity of what religion is doing and instead finding the negative. It seems to me that you are a unbeliever instead of a bible believer. I will pray for your eyes to open to the truth and not judgmental.

`amused - as questionable as blessing a cutout of bush is at the moment.. we are to pray for (in ways) & respect our leadership -- even though they may, or may not, be satanists.

it's those who promote HATE that shock me; anyone who says that fundamentalists are all the same.

did you notice that the extremists suicide bombers were called 'fundamentalist', when actually their religion often disavowed them?
or that those who supported 'intelligent design' are called 'religious EXTREMISTS? (while they may be mildly agnostic)

there's a 1984 battle on to make those who stick by the Bible (you know.. those who promote LOVE) - to make them seem evil.

pay CLOSE attention next time & correct anyone misusing 'fundamentalist'; it means basic/core... and shouldn't be used to spread HATE.

I agree. I also think church pastors and staff should not be paid in excess of a living wage. My f-i-l is on staff at a big church and makes of 80,000 a year. When they want something new, they say 'God needs it'. Last year 'God' needed a new hot tub and a full house stereo system (speakers in every room so you get waked up at 7 a.m. with weepy gospel music! bleahh). Year before that it was a tanning bed and a weider gym. Oh, and God needed them to get a new house (over 200,000!).
