I think boboz is talking about curry. Yes, many countries have their own version of curry.
What the person is asking about however, is kari-kari, a Filipino dish made with beef (usually ox tail), tripe, green beans, eggplant, and peanut sauce. Salty shrimp paste (baguong) is added when eating. My mom makes them, and they're really good!

Almost every country has a food named kari. Kari in one country and other is different, different in recipe,substance,etc.
In Indonesia, kari is one of delicious food. It is like a soup.And it contains chicken,eggs,and baked potato. its gravy is milk squeezed from coconut..that's very delicious...
Indonesia's kari and Japanese's kari is different. Really2 different. I could say it because i have tried both of them..and Indonesia's kari is more delicious..heheheheheh

its kare-kare.. a filipino dish.. mostly it would be best if you would use cows meat for that.. but some uses pigs meat coz its less cheaper.. but then you could also use seafoods to make kare-kare..
