I don't know what's wrong with everyone else *LOL* Sushi's AWESOME!! Squid included (though it's not my favorite)

Some of the grossest food I've been offered:

-Broiled liver (smelled like I walked into a gas station restroom)

-brains (tastes just as bad as you'd imagine it would)

-Baloot (Philipino for "pickled duck fetus still in it's own shell"...I'll just leave it at that)

-Chitlins.....Do ANY of you have ANY idea what those things ARE?? I was asked to cook them one time and preparing it was pure torture....It's literally the bowel of the pig....the chute in which the poo and pee move through....And let's just say that when you get them from the butcher, they leave the cleaning up to YOU. If a bloody butcher that smells of entrails and death doesn't want to touch a chitlin can you IMAGINE how nasty they are???

-Pig's feet

-Chicken's feet

-broiled CAMEL meat.....Yeccch....long story....

-I went to an asian restaurant once that served sliced sea-cucumber. For those who don't know sea-cucumber is NOT a vegetable!! It's a cucumber-shaped SEA slug....

-For the more "domestic" gross food....I once dug into a big fluffy mound of pink whipped creme cheese, thinking that it was STRAWBERRY....imagine my horror when I tasted that it was SALMON!!! Not that I don't like salmon, but if you have your palate set on strawberry.....Eeeeccccchhh!!

-Kombucha mushrooms

-Fermented tofu

I'm with "rockchick" on this one. Never eat anything with more than 4 legs, good rule of thumb.

About 15 years ago we were in Mazatlán. The day we arrived we ate like pigs. I had a steak dinner at 5 PM, then a huge platter of garlic and butter prawns at 9 PM. Then I drank beer, wine, scotch, Kahlua and tequila (lots) during the evening. I was sick as a dog through the whole night. The next morning I was in the worst shape of my life. We went to a seaside restaurant and I ordered what looked like a seafood chowder, figuring that it was about the most gentle thing I could get down. It arrived with little tiny baby octopuses and chunks of squid legs floating in it!

I chucked my cookies right on the spot! That was truly disgusting.........

Ok worse thing Ive ever tasted was fish intestines, (the stuff we would throw away) fried, in acapulco at a restaurant popular with locals, I really did give them a try but tasted like fishy dirt and I couldnt get past what they really were

For me it was some freaky gravy that my step-dad's mother makes....it looks like red, lumpy puke! Imagine my shock when I go to her house for dinner and all of her relatives are heaping it onto buttered bread and eating it just like that! I tried a bite to be polite and I almost threw up!

:p

raw sea urchin at a japanese restaurant. It looks like chicken crap. It tastes like burnt car tires that ran over dog poop. The texture is like small tiny bits of already been chewed liver mush.
