When you say spaghetti are you forgetting all the other wonderful forms of pasta?

Fortunately, since it was imported to Italy from China by Marco Polo, the humble noodle has undergone a makeover and there are hundreds of forms of pasta. My wife and I regularly use pasta as the basis for our meals (about three times a week actually) and it's not just spaghetti or fusilli.

Pasta is a good relief from potatoes, and as long as it is cooked properly (not overdone) gives texture to a meal that cannot be replicated by any other foodstuff.

I am not that interested in eating it after all the hard work harvesting the bloody stuff. I would rather have a pint of porter.
I will stick to good old boiled beef and carrots thankyou very much, that foreign muck is purely for `export only`.

Enjoy the photograph on the link below, it is of my dear aunty Doris reaping the spaghetti harvest back in `57. I was just a boy then, but I remember it as if it was yesterday.
We sent it all to Switzerland that year. They eat a lot of foreign food over there. Good luck too `em I say. They are welcome too it.

I eat spaghetti about once every three months in a bolognaise sauce. Tagliatelle and other pastas make it about once a month.

Potatoes are better, and rice is more convenient and goes with curries.

I prefer moussaka to lasagne.
