Ribeye steak, first of all. Size? I think 20 ounces is perfect. You want the steak to end when you're still wanting a little more - if you're totally full at the end the experience isn't as pleasant. No sauces - just steak. As for sides, a baked potato with limited fixings. The steak is the focus of the meal. For beverage I go with iced tea or Pepsi - alcohol fills me up too much for a big meal like a steak.

The only "sit-down" restaurant I will eat at is Applebees. What I eat is as follows:
Drink: Water with a Lemon
Steak: Bourbon Street Steak very very very well done, instead of stewen potatoes I like fries. Heinz 57 steak sauce for me.
Side: Applebees House Salad with Ranch dressing. Extra croutons and extra dressing.
I'm never actually able to eat it all, but the portion I eat is verrryy tasty.
I've not figured out the point of this question, but it was kinda fun to answer, lol.
Good luck with your question, hope lots of people answer!

1. I like between 12-16 oz of Mexican northern style "Aracherra" steak cooked on a charcol-mesquite grill.
2. to start, tacos or quesidillas of chistorra
3. a small side of fries with lemon, chiles toreados with onions, and frijoles charros.
4. The only sauce I like on a steak, any steak, is the Argentinean "Chimichurri" sauce and lots of it!
5. For drinks: to start a good cup of 100% Agave Reposado tequilla or two and with the meal a couple of well-chilled Leon or Negra Modelo. (Instead a Pacifico with lemon if the temp. is over 90)

6 to 8oz of steak is usually enough for me and your not suppose to eat more than a fist size of meat if your trying to be healthy. Fillet Mignon, New york strip, top sirloin, T-bone are one of my favorites. If it's a good piece of meat don't ruin it with sauce. Bake potato or a side salad goes best and a ice cold beer.

Porterhouse steak, rare. Mashed potatoes, sugar snap peas, tomatoes and green onions, green salad with 3 Forks house dressing, walnuts, apples and Maytag blue cheese crumbles. Iced tea to drink. Or at Paul's Porterhouse, instead of salad a cup of quail soup.

A nice fat Porterhouse (part of it is the filet mignon), medium rare, no sauce, just salt, pepper and a pat of butter on top; maybe a baked potato with butter and little sour cream...that's it...don't cover the flavor of the meat with nonsense sauces.
