I think you have to know pain/hurt to really appreciate and feel love. Everthing has an opposite, one cannot exist without the other.

The very action of loving somebody opens you up to being hurt by them, but this only happens (INTENTIONALLY) if the other person does not love you back in the same way at which point you are better off without them. As for sacrifice - love should be give and take - a compromise so that two people can share their loves - I don't call that a sacrifice - anything more and there could be something wrong with the relationship.

People get hurt when they can't have love. When love is mutual it can still hurt because something goes wrong. Love also hurts when the loved one doesn't care much or not at all.
Sacrificies in the name of love is nothing but the manifestation of love. if you think that your actions will influence the happiness and well-being of the loved one, it's not even counted as sacrifice, you'd just do it because you care. Not to mention that by making a sacrifice people sometimes make it worse, but that's a different issue.

Because we are to emotional about being in love, and we sacrifice our sleeves for the one we love, and it is always us that ends up getting hurt,,,,,,,,,,,,,

People don't get hurt in the name of love, they just allow themselves to be hurt without even noticing it.
Love is about giving, sharing, the feeling makes you expand. Its not about giving in order to recieve. You give regardless because you want to.
