More like Jesus was executed by being hung on a pole, his hands nailed above his head, and his feet beneath him.

The oldest intact Latin Vulgate uses the word 'staos' ( stake ), NOT the word 'crux' ( cross )

Later on the Catholic church started using the ' T ' or ' + ' symbols, in order to assimilate pagans who had used the cross and swastika emblem for millenia. It was originally the symbol of the god Tammuz, mentioned in the Bible, and it is pagan, NOT Christian. Jesus would certainly NEVER approve of its use, as it is pagan, and Jesus is against idolatry!!!

JESUS was not the only ONE who was ever crucified. HE was only one among millions who were sent to their death by this means. even JESUS was not crucified alone as there were two others crucified with HIM at the same time. Rome used Crucifixion as a means of death because it was a terrible way to die and helped the Romans keep control over their members of their Culture and Society.
