I think you are thinking of a Poodle. They have three sizes,toy,miniature,and standard(large).

I don't think there is one breed that is the sweetest. I've never known a dog that loves being dressed and I really don't think that the circus has one particular breed of dog that they look for.
My personal favorite breed of dog is the Boxer. But that is really just a personal choice. You have to find a breed that fits your lifestyle and needs.
