Ok..ive always been the smart type, not a hair outta place and clean shaven, Jeans and Shirt (Indie Style) male
My girlfriends prefers me casual, has baught me quite a few casual T-Shirts (which is nice), maybe she thinks im overworked or something haha i dont know
But i notice it a lot with my friends to, they dress differently under the influence of their girlfriend.
Suppose you think all of us men are rough diamonds in need of a polish?

Men are self-secure and do not seek anyone's approval when they dress like women do. Some men have good taste because they have learned it from their parents and siblings, just like a girl would. Others simply were not that fortunate. Poorly dressed people come in both genders. Just review the fashion critiques. Cheerio, Mr. M on "certain age."

Some men (although you dont sound like this) just dont know how to dress and what is acceptable to go out in public in. I like the clothes my hubby wears but I have to give him guidance because left to his own devices he wears t-shirts that he's had on for the last 4 days crumpled off the floor with food stains on it!
Women dress men to how they find they most attractive/sexy - I wouldn't knock it - if it's gunna make her want you more it cant be a bad thing right?

In a way men are the same with their girlfriends / partners - how many women dress to please their men or will adopt a 'style' he likes?
I wear suits for work but at weekends am casual, however now and again I'll do the 'girly dress' thing - simply because I know my fella likes it! Isn't that part of ithe whole relationship thing? wanting to please the one you care about...and by that I don't mean being a doormat!
It is true though that some men have awful dress sense!

Hmmm, i think i know the kind of woman you're talking about...they are trying to change you into the type of man that they want (it might stop at image, or it could go further...)
I buy clothes for my boyfriend but it's only the kind of things that he likes and wears in general. I have no urges to change him or his appearance in any way.
No, that was a bit harsh, not every woman that buys her lad new clothes is trying to change them. It could just be she can picture a style that would make you look good, and the majority of men wouldn't know where to begin when it come to changing their look

That because woman spend about 3 hours getting dressed. Men spend about 20 minute. So i would guess they no a little bit more than us male about the subject. Would you not agree.

It is sort of funny= some men don't match their clothes too well and need a little help= and we can make them look even better. Many men have no fashion sense at all. Enjoy it! D

....i dont dress my partner.....thats down to him, he's a big boy now, but i would like it if he scrubbed up more because some days he looks like he's just crawled out of a hedge

I pretty much leave my husband to it but then I have nothing against black trousers and band tshirts LOL I only thing I've gently guided him into is to stop ripping the arms off the shirts. The rock look is cool, redneck isn't!

Because many of you just cannot simply dress yourselves... yes you put in a good lot of effort, but rarely get it right.
We are also just little girls at heart still dressing up our dollies.. .of which men become a poor substitute for.
Don't feel too badly.
