One of me best friends just got the biopsy back…not good news.

She has no insurance, and the bills are already mounting, even before she was diagnosed.

I want to throw a benefit for her, but don’t even know where to begin.

Are the special rules and guidelines that must be followed? Or is it just do whatever.

Any advice and links to helpful web sites or books would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe the Web has some sites already set up that your friend can benefit from... try searching?

(I just did a search with this criteria:

"cancer benefit" +charitable +organizing

Without knowing the specific type of cancer, I couldn't narrow the search further. You could try some other search terms if these sites don't help. Maybe you could contact one of the organizers of the listed charities and get some idea from them how to proceed...

Good luck, God be with your friend.

Oh, try to gather all your friends and make a garage sale or cookies and goodies sale. But if you can find a group of musicians among your friends, you can suggest to have a concert and the proceeds will go to the mounting bills of your best friend. I am sure, GOD will work miracles to raise money on your best friend's behalf.
