Maybe hot pink or fushia coloured curtains and a couple of hot pink or fushia cushions on the bed. You could also get one of those brightly coloured mosquito nets over the bed

To keep the lavender from overwhelming, add different shades of green. Sheer white curtains under a light sage green drapery with a trim on the holdbacks or along the sides that meet in beads of a darker green and an amethyst purple would complement the lavender in your room. A green lampshade with beaded trim to match the drapes would look nice also. Green and purple are across the color wheel from each other so they make a great combo and look very decorator-like. A green patterned area rug by the bed and some green and lavender print throw pillows on the bed would tie it all together.

I would leave the wall in back of your bed Lavender, But I would paint the other 3 walls white with lavender boarders. On your dresser I would put a vase of green ferns and Yellow roses. Get Yellow sheers 1 panel on each window and then buy a purple, lavender drape or heavy curtain on the outside and draw it to one side with a tie back. Get different colored pillows for the bed.

Too much lavender for starters...Give your walls a treatment of a nice cream colour, more towards a sandy beige, but keep it on the lighter side and leave the white trim, it will make your window stand out. As for the window treatments...Have you thought about those white clothe shades or some white wood blinds, very tasteful along with a dark lime sheer valance for accent over a decorative rod. This will brighten up your room with out overdoing the colours and keeping your lavender at bay.

Have fun, enjoy and good luck.

Something you can try is to go to a store that sells paint. There they usually have strips with paint samples. They group them by color range. Find a strip that has the color of your walls, and then compair colors against it until you find some other colors that you like to combine with your lavendar. Those paint sample strips are free so you can take them with you when you go shopping and find items that match that color. You can try curtains, throw pillows, throw rugs, wall hangings, pictures that have complimentary colors in it, new bedspreads, different color dust ruffle on your bed, even hanging mobiles from the ceiling can give a room a new look. How about lamps or book cases that are different colors. There are tons of ways to brighten up a room. You can even look online for more ideas.

As long as you have lavender, try different shades of the color. Add some deep purple, mauve. Instead of white, change the color to a cream color.

Go wild and get purple drapes or curtains, get a wild bed spread to match. purple will go with the lavender, even green or orange. That's if you want wild . You can mellow out with softer colors, pinks, yellow, blue , now days any thing that you like is in.

I would probably go with the Darker purple route. I'd do maybe a plum purple on the walls, have white lace curtains. I'd leave your bed the same, maybe just new sheets and comforters. I'd accent it with dark blue florals. So, plum walls, lace curtains, dark blue floral bedding, and any cool wall stuff you can find! :)

I love re decorating and I get bored fast so every few months I buy new bead spread and then you have to buy curtains and rugs to match, it makes a big difference, just pick your favorite color.
