yes I just asked my sweetness to marry me.. and yes she was so excited..
That moment I never thought abot Silver or gold.. but all I had in my thought was her.. my love for her.. so I asked her...Is she is willing to marry me. as a wonder in my life.. She agreed..:)
I think a peice of Gold or Silver could replace the precious thing that I really wished to give her.. might be small happiness..little Joys. and a Good life is something I have in my heart to offer her.. rather than glittering Gold..
I know it is what she is in need from me..

Are you sure he's going to buy you an engagement ring and not just a really nice ring? You're only 21 and that's awfully young to be wanting to spend the rest of your life with someone. Let things progress naturally and don't get too disappointed if he doesn't buy you an engagement ring. Enjoy your birthday and enjoy being with him. If he feels pressured into committing too soon he'll resent you and run scared.

I would not be prone to rush here. This is the best time. Enjoy each day of anticipation. When it does happen... just imagine!
Just a little caution here though, dont fall apart or fold if the time becomes longer, and you start to get confused. You can always take the "marriage discussion" a step further and find out where he is on the subject. Make it a friendly discussion. Remember...its your life too. I believe that the first rule of security should be, "knowing where you stand".

You mentioned your age, you did not mention the length of your affairs and how honest both of you have been to each other. If he really loves you and the money is available, why would he not buy silver or gold for your engagement? If he discovers however, that you are too excited or too anxious, your weakness may make him to have a rethink. I wish you luck

Before my fiancee proposed to me he was always asking me about colours of gold and looking at my fingers compared to his. I had no idea that he was going to propose when he did though and on Christmas Eve he gave me my "present" to open which was a beautiful white gold solitaire that he had planned anc chosen himself for months. A magical moment and of course I said yes. Our wedding is on 21st October. Good luck, I hope your boyfriend takes the opportunity to make your 21st a very special day!

You are too young, silver, gold, whatever, live life first, you love him now, wait until you wake up next to him for the next 70 years, will you love him then? wait until you are older, spend more time with him, be sure he is Mr Right. 70 yrs is a long long time.....
