I am going to my first Marine Corps Ball, I have no idea what to wear, I still have time to have a dress made, any suggestions?

Wear a evening gown. Strapless would be pretty. Were comfortable shoes you will be dancing. The color; black or a dark hue of blue. A-line gowns are also pretty and they make you look thin. Good Luck on your first ball.

Wear something similar to a prom gown, yet more mature. Go for a color that compliments your mans uniform. If he is wearing Alphas wear something that looks good with the green. If he is wearing his blues something that goes with the blue, black, red. Don't be to flashy or fancy. The night is about your Marine, not you, you don't want to drown him out. Make sure your dress is comfortable, you may be there a while. Have fun.

err on the side of caution.. tastefull, cocktail or full length gowns are best. nothing slit up the sides or down to your navel. no ta tas hanging out.
Cover any tattoes you may have if possible.
Think Classic style and choose colors that flatter you. don't try to match the Marine Dress uniform(scrumptious looking though it is ) unless you carry off the red, Royal Blue or gold well.

Female Marines have the option of wearing either Class A or B dress uniform (or service Class A if you do not have a Dress Blues Blouse), or a tasteful evening gown.

Dress and act like a Lady .
Formal wear , not much skin , shoulders , cleavage or leg .
ASK the dress maker , she'll have done balls before .
Remember this , your husbands command is going to get their first look at YOU . How you impress them can help or hinder his chances for advancement .
For GODS SAKE don't get drunk or try to make out with the BRASS .
Be the LOVING , DUTYFULL , WIFE SUPPORTING HER MARINE !!

Wear something classy... it IS a ball!!! Think Cinderella-esque. Not neccessarilly the big poofy gown, but classy like that. Something elegant.

nothing embarassing keep it simple. be courteous and polite. know current events and sports. don't be scared to talk either. being a corpsman i've been to alot of these.
read all of the post's. they have good tips.
