When the clock strikes midnight it signals that the 60th minute of the final hour has ended, heralding the start of a new day. My understanding, however, is that it's not midnight until the twelfth chime has been struck (note that when it's New Year, we don't celebrate until the final chime has been struck). So if the baby is born while the clock is striking, then its birthday will be the previous date, but if it's finished striking, it will be the new day's date. A lot depends, of course, on the accuracy of the clock in the room where the baby is born, and whether or not it's a chiming one!

Midnight starts a new day. I have a friend that's a leap year baby. We went to the club about 11:40 or so and they wouldn't let her in the club until midnight. She argued that her birthday is in Feb not Mar so she should be let in the club. That didn't fly. We had to stand outside for about 20 mins waiting on midnight.

If you're born at midnight, you're born the next day. 12 am is midnight but 12 AM is morning. Morning is AM. Morning means the beginning of the day. So it's day after, not the day before.

Your date of birth would be recorded by the mid wife.
As it is 0000 on her clock, your birthday would be the following day. Nurses use the 24 hour clock, which goes from 0000 to 23:59. Midnight is 0000, which is the start of the next day.

Now here's an interesting situation for you......

Ive head of twins who were born either side of midnight, on the 22nd and 23rd of the month- meaning the they are twins yet they have two different star signs !!!! ( not that i believe that rubbish )

~Damned If I Know ~
A kindergarten class had a homework assignment to find out about something exciting and relate it to the class the next day. When the time came to present what they'd found, the first little boy walked up to the front of the class made a small white dot on the blackboard and sat back down. Puzzled, the teacher asked him just what it was.
"It's a period,'' said the little boy.
"Well, I can see that,'' she said, ''but what is so exciting about a period?''
''Damned if I know,'' said the little boy, ''but this morning my sister was missing one, Daddy had a heart attack, Mommy fainted, and the man next door shot himself."

No midnight is the start of a new day. So if the date was sept. 1 and you were born at midnight your bday would be sept. 2 bcauz there is 24hrs in a day and on midnight it starts the next 24hrs so your bday can only be one day. Hello???? The next day!
