All Dr's i have seen are baffled as to what it is. here is a symptom list:-
Extreme pain in lower back and legs.
Bruising with soft lumps all over legs and feet.
Hair-loss on legs.
Increasing difficulty in walking and leg movement.
Some loss of feeling in feet.
I have to use a walking stick now and methadone for the pain as it is the only thing that has had any effect upon the pain. Dr say the reason is it acts as an artificial 'spinal gate'
Can anyone please help with a possible diagnonis?

When you say "doctors", does that include chiropractors? Although I am not one myself and therefore not qualified to make clinical judgements from the limited information you have given, I am currently studying to gain entry into chiropractic college and therefore have observed a chiropractor at work on several different cases.

If nothing else, I'm sure chiropractic would be able to alleviate the "extreme pain in lower back and legs", as that is their forte. Additionally I'm sure that to a qualified chiropractor, some of the other symptoms stem from the same neuro-muscular problem.

In case you're skeptical of chiropractic, I just want to quickly add that on the day I observed a local chiropractor at work, a patient was seen that had had severe mobility problems for many years and physiotherapists had achieved little - within 4 sessions, he felt "98% better" (his words). That can't all be placebo effect.

Good luck!

You need to get a referral to a Neurologist. Dont mess around asking something this serious on yahoo, you need specialist advice and care. Could be something like motor neurone disease.
You need to identify the problem not mask the symptoms.

Does the bruising occur naturally for example when you have actually bumped into things or does it just randomly occur? This sounds a lot like something my Aunt has but I just wanted to check this first

except for the bruising and hair loss it sounds like a spinal condition like stenosis...but you really should see a doctor not ask us.

You need a specialist, not yahoo questions
