you can make extra arms with some old tights stitched to the back of the costume and stuffed with newspaper. extra eyes can either be drawn on with face paints or get some 'bonce boppers' you get with ping pong ball things on springs on a head band, you can stick white stickers with black pupils on them for extra eyes. for the costume she'll need to be warm in october so perhaps leggings and a long sleeved top, preferably green that you can decorate with glitter pens for fabrics etc or can design with alien insignias as tho she was from an alien army! maybe add some 'ray guns', one for her to hold and another stitched onto one of the fake arms?

you don't need to spend loads of money on this, old clothes and some bits from craft stores should do fine if you're on a budget!

remember have fun, trick or treat safe, and think of me cos halloween is my birthday!!!

When I was thirteen, I dressed as an alien - it was my last Halloween costume. Here's what I did.

I took an old bathing cap (the kind you wear swimming that fits tight around the head - and the sort they used to make that was meant to be 'pretty' - it had a pattern in raised dots). I got some glitter, and put loads of different coloured glitter on the cap.

I bought lots of purple make up (this was in the early 80s - the purple decade), and borrowed from an English teacher some bright pink (electric pink) nail polish and matching lipstick (she took the request very well, considering).

I wore a bright leotard and non-matching tights, again, decorated with foil and glitter.

I then ruined the whole effect by riding my purple, banana seated bike.

Good luck, be safe, have fun!

Awesome. My 6 year old was an alien for Halloween once and it was so cool! Use a green swimmers cap (which can be easily found at any sporting goods store, inexpensive), tuck all of her hair in, paint face green, use google eyes and non toxic glue stick to put them all over her forehead. She also wore a green sweat suit (which I had to buy in the boys clothing section) Everyone thought it was the neatest costume ever and it didn't cost much at all. Just some ideas, I hope they helped. Good luck and take care.
