I recently was involved in a car accident, and I was hospitalized. Since of my condition I was able to give full detail of how the accident happen to the cop, and after I was discharge of the hospital I found out that I was at fault, is there anyway I could fight to get the story right and change it to no fault on my side?

Well there must have been a witness somewhere and I am sure the Police would have interviewed them. Plus the police actually investigate the accident and look at all the evidence. They have traffic officers that do this (they take photos, measure skid marks, determine speed etc.) and I am sure they interviewed the other driver too and his/her passengers if any. And they have made a report based on all of these findings. You are going to have a very hard time convincing a judge of any thing different. Could it be you were actually at fault?

Its going to be tough since the accident report is now an official record. You would need to ask an attorney if there is any chance of you getting out of it. I have heard people say they had a head injury etc. Its not very likely if the accident involved other parties who witnessed the accident and you telling the officer what happened for him to conclude you were at fault. In addition the accident scene gives details of how an accident occurred it tells a story the speed of the vehicle can be measured by the skid marks , debris on the roadway can tell the point of impact etc.

I was in the exact same situation you are in. the cops said it was my fault and they pressed charges. I had to hire a lawyer and a accident investigator and a toxycologist. I was able to get enough proof that it was not my fault but the chances of me getting ALL the charges dropped was going to be hard and plus, the family worked at the court house that i have to go to and I couldnt get it moved. I ended up taking a plea and will be going away for a bit. Politics.......it will get ya in the end

First of course you can go to the police station and ask to submit a statement on the accident.

But it matters little what the report says, what matters is what the insurance companies statements say or what is the verdict in court if there is a hearing on either any tickets or on a civil case fordamages.

Appeal the case and present evidence that you are not at fault.
