Well three weeks ago you asked for advice on what you and your hubby could do on the weekend. So I guess you're putting us on with this question, aren't you?

I guess you left it a little bit late for help!!! I am all for getting married without all the frills and relatives, but you can't sort a party out in a day! If I was getting wed at 11am today, I would be getting myself ready, looking forward to a nice lunch with my new husband, followed by a romantic afternoon in bed whilst kids at school, get me a sitter and go out for dinner tonite, or for a few drinks with a few good mates, hit the sack again and welcome to married life!!

Some friends of mine got married early and they asked everyone to bring a picnic and we all went to the grounds of an old castle ruins and picnic'ed together, it was a really beautiful and personal thing to do and it means people will waste time talking amongst themselves, then as it gets later hire a room and have a disco so the kids can join you! Congratulations, have a really good day whatever you do.x

why are you asking that on here, your day should have been well planned ahead not wait until the last few weeks, surely you should have had this organised all ready with your future husband instead of asking people worldwide, regardless of how big or small the wedding it takes time to arrange,ie paper work, forms filled out, places booked, outfits for bride and groom- best man and bridesmaid plus any children that need outfits all sorted by now, reception after wedding sorted, evening to celebrate with friends and family arranged, wedding rings purchased, all things should have been paid also to keep you clear of any money for emergencies nearer the date, flowers paid for, photography paid for, hire of limo/car/taxi paid for, weddings take time and money to get right for the best day of your life,do enjoy.

shouldn't there be some kind of reception afterwards? usually u get married (sign papers) and then all guests and newlymarried proceed to the place where reception is held - restaurant, castle, your own home, park, hotel .- whatever. there they have refreshments and food and dancing and there should be always a person who leads the wedding - invents some funny stuff and speaches and stuff like this. i think u should have asked that question before the marriage day and planned it properly or went to some firm which specialises on organizing parties. good luck anyway

Sex is usually quite a large factor. especially if the kids are at school. get some champagne and chocolates and some interesting toys together and spend all day enjoying each other as man & wife for the first time.
Then when the kids come home, and if you have any energy, go out with friends and family and have some fun.
Congratulations!

Usually there is some sort of gathering together for drinks and something to eat, then there are speeches by the father of the bride, the best man and the groom, sometimes the bride speaks as well. then there is some sort of food served and everyone has something to eat, cut the cake and then some people have music and dancing, although some people don't.

Most people would have given this a bit of thought before the day of the wedding.

honey, have you invited people? If so, they'll probably expect you to have some sort of gathering after-. If you havent already made arrangements somewhere for it, then I guess all you can do is go to your favorite restaurant together or invite just your closest friends & family. make sure you call the restaurant asap tomorrow, to make a reservation. good luck & congratulations!!!
