29/3/2006 IFL championship the main event was Gracie and Millitech i thought the fight would have gone for allot longer and that Pat would have lasted a little longer on the ground even with a Gracie.
Renzo Gracie won the fight in 3:37 of the first round by submission.

Fight Fan ~
The Gracies do what the Gracies do best, they get you on the ground and submit you. They brought their style here and everyone started or tried to learn and teach it.
The Millitech fighting system incorporates some of the same techniques as BJJ, but it is not BJJ, there is striking, knees and elbows, there is much more emphasis put on the ground and pound then there is in BJJ,
When an athlete, any athlete tries to serve to many masters one is ultimately neglected, meaning you cant do a hundred different things and expect to be good at all of them. The Gracies do BJJ sure they use knees and punches but they are soley committed to BJJ that's what makes them so effective.
I'm not saying that theirs is the best way or the only way. The Gracies haven been beaten and some were beaten badly but the odds are always in their favor.

No Militech should retire for good, he lost because he has back problems and didnt want to put any strain on back when he got caught in the gouitine, he also has knee problems, Pat (as well as ken shamrock) need to hang up the gloves and stick to coaching. (Even Frank shamrock said tito is gonna kick the sh.t outta ken come oct 10)
