How terribly middle England to criticise Rose - they don't think like that in Cannes or Capetown. Personally I think a good drink to accompany lunch or an early dinner on a warm day. I think the following are decent :

Bochendal Blanc de Noir (www.sawinesonline.co.uk)
Les Clos de Paulilles Rose (Tesco)
Domaine Sainte Rose, La Vie en Rose.

All three are very drinkable with my favourite being the Blanc de Noir.

Enjoy.

Do yourself a favor - skip the white zin and look for a rose (pronounced "rosay") from outside the US. I've heard Pansy from New Zealand is supposed to be good, but I haven't gotten my hands on a bottle yet.

Do you have a BevMo near you? Go in and ask for someone who knows wine. S/he should have a suggestion for a dry rose. Roses are not prevalent, but there are a couple good ones out there.

I like rose Champagnes

Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Rose is particularly affordable and pleasant

Louis Roederer Cristal Rose 1996 (a shame that I opened it this early) we enjoyed this on Valentines Day. Best champagne I've had.

There are a couple of very good examples from Australia. Try yalumba. Majestic Wine is your best bet - but you will have to buy a dozen bottles (of anything).

none. im sorry, but in the "wine industry" rose is not considered "good" maybe you could try a wine tasting in your area to expand your palatte? or maybe a good restaurant that offers a "wine flight" with dinner? (different wine served w/ each course that compliments) there are just so many other great wines out there that you might be missing!!!!!
